I never thought this day would come! I have been thinking of dyeing yarn at home for quite a while now, but kept putting it off and making excuses for myself. I don’t know WHAT happened but the other day I just got off my butt and went for it and i’m so happy that I did!
First off, I am a whim kind of person when it comes to creativity. I know that if I have the motivation to create something, that motivation can fizzle out quite fast if I don’t do something with that energy immediately.

So I have two main goals for this year as of now, 1) Do more yarn reviews and 2) Complete other designers patterns more often. In this review I am doing both of those things! I loved it then and I love it now, however, the lifestyle that comes with the career was just not for me, if you know anyone who works in the industry you know what i’m talking about haha. Endless hours, minimal pay (if any), you pretty much can’t have a life outside of it if you want to work your way up. Long story short, it just did not work for me. However, it has been difficult to feel like I completely gave up on that dream and to not work on any video formatted projects. That is when I realized I was ignoring a pretty prominent form of content for small businesses and makers. Youtube!

Therefore it felt quite fitting to start this series off by talking about Acrylic yarn!
Cotton Yarn
I am really excited to dive into the world of Cotton Yarn in this post! I have been obsessed with Cotton Yarn for quite some time now and there is so much more to learn about it than you would ever guess!
